Training / Coaching
German Dressage specializes in bringing horses and riders successfully through the levels from training to Grand Prix. They have helped many riders achieve their goals in the ring from young riders winning medals at various championships to adult amateurs and professionals who have been successfully coached up to World Cup level.
They have a vast range of experience developing horses from youngster to the highest level of international competition. Numerous horses in the program have been successfully trained and managed to Grand Prix level up to Olympic participants. Jennifer has a particular talent in teaching horses piaffe, she has developed many horses including very hot and nervous horses or horses that people said would never learn to piaffe. She has an amazing amount of feel and timing when it comes to the rhythm and also gives the horse an incredible amount of self confidence which allows them to learn and really blossom. In addition they have success in correcting and retraining horses that have experienced training issues.
They offer Individually tailored training programs to fit each riders and horses needs, with the ability to adjust as needed. Services include; full training, partial training, lessons, schooling and coaching at shows. Horses in training receive full service care including grooming. Young Horse Development
German Dressage has been very successful in the development of young dressage horses having trained over 16 horses to Grand Prix level, with many seeing success at an international level including the Olympics and World Equestrian Games. Jennifer has qualified for and competed in the World Championships of the young dressage horses in Verden, Germany numerous times and went on to compete in the finals five times with top placings. In addition she has been a Medal winner at the prestigious Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, Germany. Florentinus V won the Silver Medal with a score of 9.2 in the 5 yo Championship and Hofmarschall won Bronze Medal with a score of 9.1 in the 4 yo Championship.
The young horse program includes the complete training and management of the young horse to reach the goal as desired by the owner. The training is adjusted according to the needs of the growing and mentally developing horse, as Jurgen always says, “I always tell my young horse owners, what I tell you today about the horses progress and training schedule, must not be right tomorrow”. This means, we have to be able to adjust the training of the young horse, almost on a daily basis, to accommodate the horses growing and mental development needs to help ensure their future success and development.
Clinics
Jennifer and Jürgen Hoffmann are available throughout the year for clinics at your facility. Jürgen has been a sought after clinician in the US as well as being invited to hold clinics in Germany, London UK and Vienna/Austria.
